In two days you will learn how to create a short commercial and elevate the video experience with creative audio techniques Students will record and design dialogue, voiceover, music, and sound effects, focusing on creating a coherent sonic atmosphere for a commercial-style audiovisual piece.
Day 1: Studio Recording and Project Development
In a studio-based environment, students will record voiceover and sound effects to synchronize with provided video material. Drawing on foundational audio theory introduced in the beginning of the session, students will begin constructing the sonic framework of their audiovisual project, focusing on technical accuracy, creative intent, and narrative coherence.
Day 2: Editing and Post-Production
Students will focus on editing recorded audio material and integrating music to support the visual content. The project will be completed using professional audio post-production techniques, including dialogue editing, sound design, mixing, and finalization for media delivery formats. Students will work with self-recorded video material as the basis for their audio production projects.
At the end of each day, students will participate in structured project reviews and group discussions, receiving formative feedback on their work and guidance on strategies for technical and creative improvement.
